Could be a frayed wire.. what do you think?? haha

Hey guys i just wanted to ask you a question about my friends Camaro. Its a RS i don't know what year but thats not important. Anyway, it has a few electrical gremlins in it. First of all, the tach doesn't work. It reads about 2-3 thousand rpms too high. I thought that was odd. THEN i saw that when he turned on his right turn signal, the tach went up and down and also the battery gauge. I was ilke well thats intresting. To top it all off his rear parking lights work until the car starts getting hot, then one goes out. Intresting huh?? I hate fixing this stuff but Hes gonna need some help. Think the wireing harness just got cooked together? How does a TACH read wrong?!

Get back to me. Thanks

I also have another project i'm doing for a friend. His Ford POS Taurus has the worst electrical system known to man. You turn on the radio the lights go out. You turn the lights off the dome light goes on. Funny stuff like that. That also should be fun, i'm gonna just drive it into the Delaware River and tell him its better off that way.

LOL,
Matt

try looking at the printed dash circut behind the dash guages itself. Mine did the same thing, the tach went all the to 8000 rpm when the lights were turned on and the oil pressure went to 0, turn signal light in dash the right one was always lit. I found a broken wire in the printed circut. resoldered and works great.
