I installed power lumbar seats into my Bird which came out of a GTA. I grounded the black wire directly to the sheetmetal (where I am sure I can get a great ground connection). The orange wire I connected to the electrical acc. box to the left of the fusebox above the kick panel and added an extra fuse (for safety). This is where it plugged into from my donor car and is a secure and safe connection which will last the life of the car. I wouldnt just tap into any circuit because look at the gauge of the orange wire, it's thicker than the normal 18 or so gauge thats normally inside the interior. That means it uses a greater amprege. What would happen is if you tap it into a lower amp circuit and use your seat you might always blow a fuse because a circuit is designed with a certain amp in mind. Hope this helps!

I just used a T-bar connector to clamp into the cigarette lighter. I don't smoke, and I still have an accessories plug if I ever need it. No fear of blowing a plug because once I set my seat I haven't moved it since, but I have tested the lighter and the seat at the same time. No problems whatsoever.
