Putting a gauge cluster from an 84 std ,or IROCs into my 85 sport coupe, need help
I got the gauge cluster from a 84 or earlier standard camaro,it has analog and my SC has idiot lights that caused all my problems.I also have a cluster form a 87 IROC, and when I went to put 84 standards into my SC the two connectors in the back wouldnt fit.I dont have my dash in and could this be the problem. When I force the connectors in they still pop out.
Are there different styles of connectors?
Will all of the gauges work when I get it in right, cause ive heard that the oil pres will peg out.

82-89(?,,might be 90,, I'd have to look at the breakdowns again) should be the same,, the whole cluster will pulg right in. If you go from 'idiot' lights to gauges,, you have to replace the sensor accordingly,, the speedo & tach will work properly though (v6 tach will not read properly on a v8 though)

Does it matter when you dont have dash in,cause when I put the connectors in they just come right out when the gauge cluster moves.
