Charging relay

I have killed my alternator and need it fixed, the guy who´s going to do it needs the charging relay too. Anyone who knows where it´s located and how it looks?

Grateful for answers
Henrik

I could be wrong, but I dont think a charging relay exists.

I agree with Omar. I never heard of such a thing (unless it is part of a dual battery isolation circuit that would certainly not be factory).

I searched for it myself too and I couln´t find it. But the repair guy said that some US cars had a separate relay.

Thanks a lot for the help

Does he mean like the charging regulator? I think on most modern alternators this is built in and not separate.

I think its time you find a new guy to fix it. Anyway, everything needed for charging (regulator, rectifier, etc...) is all contained in the alternator. No relay.
