On my 84 15th, there is a short somewhere behing the radio I think. I can replace the fuse but then the car goes over a bump it blows out the fuse. The fuse controls the electric hatch release, the radio, the interior light, and a couple of other small things.

I can't see any problem with the wiring either. What could it be? A ground problem or what? I don't know too much about wiring in cars....

 

I'll bet it's your "lighter", pull it out and put it someplace , replace the fuse and drive around.

 

I never thought about that. Do you mean remove just the lighter portion or the entire fixture?

 

JUST the lighter, the fixture won't conduct anything with out the lighter.

 

Cool, I'll try that and post back if I have any more problems...
