Car is totally dead...need help quick!!!

I recently completed my installation of my MSD 6AL, and now I have absolutely no power in the car. Dash lights don't work, headlights don't work, nothing. There is no sign that my starter is getting any power either. I just bought a new battery last night because the old one wasn't charging. I felt that was the problem since the car had been sitting a while, but the problem continued. I haven't been able to get my hands to a voltmeter yet, but I am going to run out and get one today. About a week ago (before the MSD installation) everything was fine. I also have a remote solenoid switch that I am trying to wire. Anyone think they know what my problem is?

Ok, no one is responding to my post, maybe I'll be a little more specific with my problem. I installed my MSD6AL box and MSD distributor (85551). I am using the green and purple magnetic pickup wires from the distributor and used the harness to connect it to my box. I connected the orange wire from the box to the positive terminal on my coil, and the skinny black wire to the negative terminal. I connected the skinny red wire to the heavy pink wire that ran to the old distributor. I am not using the white wire right now, I will eventally connect that to a switch to use it as a kill switch. The heavy black and red wires from the box are connected where they need to be. I ran the red to my remote solenoid switch, and the other I grounded.
Despite all this, I am getting absolutely no power in the car. The battery is live, and is putting out 12v, so I have no idea what the problem is. Anyone encountered this before and can pass a little advice over here. Thanks

Is there power at the big fat lug on your starter? If not, then it sounds like you blew your fusible links.
