Any 3rd Gens (Camaro) have Electronic Speedo?

I am working on a V6 to V8 Swap. My V6 speedo is mechanical. Is there an electronic speedo that I can install in my car that bolts up/wires in to the V8 without a lot of pain?

The Engine/tranny combo that came out is 2.8L/4L60(V6 version). Going in is 5.7L/4L60(V8 version) speed density.

If I posted this in the wrong I am sorry...

Thanks

90+ Camaros and 86+ Firebirds are electronic speedometers.

Is the '86-'89 bird speedo interchangable with '90-'92 bird and camaro speedos?

Yea, I am having a hard time finding information concerning which (if any) of the later models Camaro (90-92) speedos will work.

And, what is the purpose of the cruise control transducer and how does it relate to the speedo?

Thanks

From what I know, the Firebird dash is the same from 85-92, so you can put an electronic speedo in a mechanical dash.

However, the Camaro's changed dashes in 1990, and the half-moon speedos in 90-92 wont fit in the circular speedo holes of the 82-89 Camaros.

However, the easy solution for you is to get a mechanical speedo from an earlier 700R4 transmission. It'll plug right into your 4L60 trans and work just fine with your stock cable-driven speedo. Then you'll need a special adapter that plugs into the trans and provides the 4000 pulse speedo signal for the 90-92 TPI computer. I think you can get it from TCI or B&M.
