Need Help With Cooling Fan Wiring
Need Help With Cooling Fan Wiring
I have a '91 Z28 and one of the cooling fans doesn't come on. I check the fan itself(the motor) and it runs fine. I am just not getting power to it. I checked all the fuses and they were fine. I think it might the relay. My question is where are the relays for the fans located? And other than a broke wire is there any other possible causes, if so what are they? Any help would be much appreciated.

The relays are typically located on the driver's side firewall, close to the hood hinge. There are 3 relays all in the same location. I had the same problem with my T/A and all that was wrong was the temp. sensor located between the #6 and #8 spark plugs.

I had a similar problem with my power door locks. Turns out the wire running to the relay was loose and was making a poor connection... that might be the solution to your cooling fan problem. This site may help you out: http://www.geocities.com/vtcamaro/Wire-Diagrams.html
