the only reason you think it is a ***** thing to do is because you have never seen the gauges backlit. it looks great.

How in the heck is having LEDs in your dash rice? So is my alarm LED rice? What about the LEDs I'll have for monitoring fan functions? BTW, where in Kingwood do you live? I live in Spring, bout 20-25 mins from Kingwood.

I guess I'm so use to the 90-92 dashs that I forget about the "tunnel" dash of earlier years, yes that definitly is way better looking, when you all say LEDs i'm thinking chaser lights, blinking borders, glow in the dark needles. But that looks good and professional definitly not what I thought.

88Camaro, is that your car? If so how did you get that color into the autometer guages? Or are they not autometers? I know of the different color shift lights, they have them for the guages too? Let me know, or anyone for that matter! I'll go check out the web site now to find something, thanks!

Rice or not, who cares...

That looks sooo sweet. I'm getting a little tired of my orange lighting. Gotta get some blue.

They sell light bulb covers, is that what you used? It looks just as bright as the LEDs!

Check out this site. They have dash bulbs (194's) w/ four led's in them. They have red, amber, blue, and green.

I had the 1157 super-bright red's in the front of my 90. Too bad you can not have red or blue lights on the front..... 120 lesson from a Tempe cop. I hate cops, esp those who do not give warnings.

Yeah, that's it. I'm not sure if the dimmers would work on them or not. From what I know about pn juctions and diodes, probably not.

The picture posted is actually of my car's dash. It looks much better now with all the needles in red and macewen silver guages instead of white. I do them for $100 if anybody's interested.

Hey Odyssey, a while back i had asked if bulb covers were used on the auto meter guages in that pic to get the blue color. Is that what you had used b/c they look pretty good, just like the leds in the dash! I am talking about the guages in the a-pillar. Is that what you used, blue light bulb covers from Auto Meter? Thanks for any help-Bryan

No.. I used 4 LEDs in the AutoMeter guage. Pretty simple.... but it requires modification to the original light bulb holder.

Sorry i haven't gotten back to ya! Thanks for the response. Any chance you might be able to help me with that? I have my whole guage cluster in a carbon-fiber panel and also an A-pillar. Total i have 8 guages. What type of cost am i looking at if i do it myself, or would you do that type of work too? Thanks for any help. If you would like i could e-mail you. Thanks-Bryan
