Differences between batteries. Provolt/ Optima...

What are the differences between different types of batteries? What's a dry cell and what is a spiral cell? What are advantages to runnign an Optima yellow top vs Provolts 1100 cca dry cell battery?

The difference is one's a deep cycle battery and the other's a starter battery. Don't use the yellow top for starting the car. Not only is it bad for the battery, it'll void the warranty.

I second this,plus the yellow has a significantly shorter warrenty,why bother,get the red top they are proven perfromers
