Aftermarket Ignition Components

Is an aftermarket coil or distributor worth a gain in performance. I have a digital6 MSD box, but I don't want to get a MSD distributor or coil if there is not going to be a gain. Thanks

Car: 1986 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: 700R4
By adding "just" an Accel supercoil to my car, I noticed a bit more pull at higher RPM's. If your current distributor has never been rebuilt, I'd imagine you'd feel a difference with any new distributor. The MSD one will be made to closer tolerances, which should equal timing that's more accurate, which should equal some extra power...
