True or not true?
True or not true?
My mechanic friend said that my 91 tbi gives more gas when the car is cold and less as it heats up or something like this. He said there is a way to hook up a switch to keep the cold start fuel pressure on when you want it on. Is there any truth to this? My car always feels alot faster when I first fire it up

You can unplug the CTS (coolant temp sensor) and jump the connector terminals with a 640 ohm resistor causing the ECM to 'think' the car is only running about 145-150°. This fooling the ECM into 'thinking' it's not quite warmed up yet will let it allow more advance & fuel.
Words of caution, some cars rely on the CTS to turn the fan on, and detonation is more likely to occur (even more if you use low test/octane gas) since the ECM on percives the engine as cold when realistically, it's at operating temp.
