Rear Hatch Motor & Engine compartment Wires

Hey Everyone,

Can't seem to get the rear hatch to close. I checked all the fuses, none of them are blown. Was wondering how I can test to see if the actual rear hatch motor is blown or if it is possibly something else like wiring. Thanks for any help.

also, anyone know where I can get the wiring connector ends that are in the engine compartment? Many of those plastic clips have snapped so they won't stay snug together. Right now, I am using tape to hold them together. I am actually concearned about the ECM bypass one. Since you have to disconnect it and reconnect it for diag, it's plastic clip has snapped and I am scared that there may be a bad connection if it doesn't stay snug.

Thanks!

I can't tell you about the hatch part, but most OEM harness connectors are available in the 'HELP!' section or the electrical section of the coorperate chain auto part stores

Is there 12V to the motor?

If you remove the motor (3 big bolts) from the rear of the car and take it to the front (don't forget to disconnect the wires) you can test it directly on the battery. the key here is to depress the little black switch in the top of the assembly to simulate having the hatch come into the shut position. The switch is in between the humps below.

Yes, there is a full 12 Volts to the rear hatch motor.
