If putting a 5L into a original 2.8L car (both carbourated pre '85 engines.)

Will the underhood wiring harness plug into the interior harness, (at the firewall) without problems, and will the new computer plug in here the old computer was without hassle?

I ask because i don't want to take the extra time to install my alarm in a new harness, and rewire the neons again if at all possible.

I don't have iether harness out of iether car yet, so havn't been able to cross reference.
