brake lights aren't working..GRR
OK, my brake lights have been INOP for the last 5-6 months. Every time I put in a new fuse it will blow immediately. So, of course, that means there must be a short to ground somewhere. The problem is that I don't know exactly which wires run to the back of the car. I've studied the service manual a bit. It looks like the wiring runs from the brake switch, thru the dash, then to the rear of the car somehow. I could be wrong though...Anyone have some info to add to this??
I've done a little poking around, and traced the wire from the fuse block to a little connector right by the steering column. I unplugged the connector, and the fuse did NOT blow, since that cut the power going to the rear. I would like to somehow bypass this wire(s), but I just dont how it is routed to the back.
Thanks for any ideas.
