parking and head lights not working!
parking and head lights not working!
ok, I push the light switch and nothing happens,light do not light up.this has nothing to do with them raising up because they have never raised up.I did spark a bare wire, a big purple one comming out of the drivers side fire wall. not sure what it goes to, but after that happend lights decided to stop working.And i just got the damn thing running good. any help will help,thanx

The big purple wire is for the ignition (according to the wire diag)
Check to make sure 1st, you didn't blow any fuses. After that you might want to pull the headlight switch & check to see if there is 12v on the big [red]red[/red] power wire, if there isn't, you may have cooked the fusable link (black plastic thing on the wire right by the starter). Another possibility is the switch simply broke.
If you have 12v on the red power wire.There should be a yellow wire comming out from the switch harness, with turning the switch on, there should be 12v comming from there, this runs to your dimmer switch, which turns into a light green wire from the switch & runs to your headlights. If the 12v is not present at the yellow wire from the headlight switch, replace the switch. If it's not present after the dimmer switch, replace that.
(One would think including the headlight motor wiring in a wiring diagram would be handy but hey, what do I know, I didn't print the book.)
