I have an msd 6a in the firebird with the 2.8... the car before kept bogging and dying, i took out the MSD and it drove and didnt bog as much and was also faster? Anyone have an idea why?

Don't quote me on this but, the v-6 is a distributorless ignition,, this may "confuse" the MSD box.

nope..its not distributorless..only the 3.4 in 93-95 was distless

If the problem is still there when you remove the box you have another problem. This may be a lean condition that is aggravated with the addition of the MSD box. The fact the problem persists just at a lesser amount on the stock ignition Something else is the culprit. Sorry I could not be more help.
