1990-1992 Camaro Speedo swap into 1986 Grand National
1990-1992 Camaro Speedo swap into 1986 Grand National
As you can see I dont have a 3rd gen, but I do have a Grand National. I have searched all over and I cant seem to find any info on swapping this dash into my car. I am pretty sure that the 1989 Turbo Trans Am did use an electronic speedo but I am not certain how it is hooked up to not send the Grand National computer into fits. If anyone could please help me in swapping in this gauge cluster it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time!
Well that isnt my car but the reason I am thinking of doing it because of how useless the stock gauge setup is. A car with that type of performance and they simply forgot to design a useful gauge package from the factory. If I could use a GM designed gauuge setup it would greatly improve the ways I can monitor my car and also look like it belongs there.
I agree about the useless stock gauges--unless you find an aftermarket GNX setup, you're out of luck.
why not use aftermarket gauges? I have a fuek pressure gauge on my hood, oil pressure, and water temp--those are on the console under the radio in a 2 gauge pod--looks very good to me.
I think that would be your best bet. Also-they now have a 1 or 2 gauge setup for the roof--but your car has to have t-tops(mine does).
