My car has fog lights, they aren't hooked up(don't ask me why). Before I knew this I tried to get them to work. I found the switch for them in my center console. This was all back when I first got the car. I checked to see where it should go. In this place (right underneath the lights switch) was a small balck panel. I pried the thing out and found a wiring harness, naturally I thought this was for the fog lights. But it was absolutely impossible to plug the fog light switch into this connector. It's a 6 prong(i think) connector with a bunch of wired going to it. I can't find where it leads. Anyone know anything about this. Also, when I finally checked the actual fog lights, I found the wires to them had just been stuffed up underneath the car but I could not find any other wires that could connect from inside the car. These seem to be store bought fog lights (Blazer or something).Sorry about the length of this, but I just thought I'd like to solve this mystery after 3 years. Thanks.

 

WHat kind of car? Does it have cruise controll? At the base of the steering column there is a 6 hole connector that is used for the cruise. The fog light harness on my 87 GTA was located on the upper most corner of the dash on the driver side.

Sorry about that. It's a 91 RS. It does have cruise control, but I'm not sure about that connector. I've never really taken a close look down there.

 

Here's another one: bundled in the same harness as my cigarette lighter wires are several coloured wires (two are very heavy) leading to a flat plug with about 6 sockets on it, on the side each one is labelled A, B, C, D, E, F... none of the wires are black... what is this?

Also what is that thing nestled in the body behind the driver's kick panel?
