Blowing Fuse in Tail lights
Hey guys I am having a problem with a 89 Iroc Convertible when I turn the headlights on I blow the fuse for the tail lights. I have traced almost everything and I can't find a short. I believe its a 20 amp fuse. I drop in a 30 amp and it will stay on. Could the switch be bad???? Pleas give me some input!!!!!!!
Thanks

why would you put a 30 amp if it calls for a 20??
make sure you don't have any accessories ran to that fuse and check all your wiring in your tailights....you may have to remove the bumper cover to get to the main rear harness and check your wiring there.
don't put a larger amp fuse unless it calls for it.

Track the short down!!!! Last summer at the wreckers there was a Camaro that had been on fire. In it's console were a whole bunch of burned out fuses. The guy just kept changing them. Don't know if he installed larger one finally or just a piece of tinfoil because that part was burned too bad.
