all i did with my elec. fans on my 87 Formula was move my ground wire from the thermostat relay to a solid ground on the car it works fine on an off with the switch.
Thanks man, but does your Formula work like my 88 TBI? Yours might run off the ECM somehow, mine dont.
Your probubly right, but I really want to be sure before I go and yank some wires out of my relay.....
Also what did you use for a good ground??

hey fella..
I just rewired my fan so it comes on when the key turns... Here is what I did. First clip the wires by the fan. I have an 88tbi.. so it should have the exact same setup. We put the ground to the wall just behind the battery. There was already something on the same screw..I think next to some kind of black box fusething. The power wire we ran to the fuse box. What fuse I would have to check over the weekend because I dont have it here, Im at school. Once I do, Ill let you know. But it takes like 20 min. It might have been the radio fuse now that I think about it.

yes that will work too.but my Formula had power at all times the relay when it gets hot opens an completes the ground circuit.so all you need to do is clip the ground wire an run it to the bolt like he did
