Viper has the best alarms. Do NOT get crimestopper, I can't get this peace of junk to work and it's the best unit they make.

I bought the Hornet 533T from ebay a few weeks ago for $89. It has ALL the goodies. Alarm, remote start, trunk release, 2 stage sensor and all the other usual features. The guy is always selling them. Installation is not pretty, but i will probably have it professionaly installed at some point. I went to a local installer and he said that my system installed would be around $400.

Basically DEI are the best out there. Pick any version...Hornet, Viper and so on and you will be fine.

Yep...anything from DEI is good. Viper, Sidewinder, Python, Wasp, Hornet, et cetera. They do need a good bit of skill to install, though.

If you can get one cheap, Black Widow alarms (made by David Levy) are also pretty good, they're inexpensive, and easier to install.

DEI is good, clifford is also good; you are aware that these cars can be broken into in mere seconds........personally i wouldn't put anything in them you value if it's an everyday driver unless you get a system with a pager.
