My car always had about 13volts engine running.Now the volts is about 11.8 running.I have bought a new battery and alternator.They was the only thing left on my car that was old.But they did'nt fix my problem.My guage in car reads the same as my voltmeter.The clip for the alt is cleaned and there are no loose connections on it.Any ideas what the heck is the problem??????

 

Well it still pulls 11.x volts when started.But if I rev the motor 1 or 2wice then it goes to normal.It is fine after the initial startup,daily.????????????/

 

Sounds like the voltage regulator. If this problem persistes I would have the alt bench tested. If you have underdrive pullys the car may have more of a natural tendancy to do this.
