first of all you should have the right fuse in it; but i'm not sure what it is so i can't help there.

secondly, sounds like you have a loose wire somewhere; i would check the connections on any accessories like the radio and such you are using. the circuit itself is usually pretty dependable, either someone tapped into it with an external accessory causing your problem or your working on something electrical in which case you should know what is causing your problem.

good luck.

Definitely a grounding problem. Lots of stuff is wired to the accessories fuse that the courtesy light is also wired to. The most common place is the radio and the wiring associated with it. Aftermarket installations are famous for causing grounding conditions. Have you had any dash panels off lately? Check behind those if you have.

Try checking if anything fell inside the cigarette lighter and/or remove the lighter, it might be shorted.

I second that. My cig. lighter was rusted over, and it caused my fuse to blow constantly. Try taking the lighter portion out and seeing if your fuse still blows. If it doesnt that is your problem. If it still blows, try unplugging the harness behind the lighter, it snaps right off.
