Blower fuse keeps popping.

Car: 1985 Chevrolet Camaro IROC
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
Blower fuse keeps popping.
After an extended amount of time running on Defrost or any AC setting my blower motor fuse keeps popping. I know that there is a leak in my AC system and is not completely charged. Could this have something to do with it??
Seems it only pops when the AC is engaged, not on regular heat or just the vents.
