Blower fan

Hello again,
I looked around the board and I think I am the first to ask this. Since I removed my A/C my blower has not been working. I printed out the wiring diagram for the unit and all the wires are hooked up as they should be. I tested the high speed relay, it's ok. Getting 12 volts to the blower. Just installed a new switch to fix the problem, no luck. The restrictor thingies are getting juice - I tested those too. The blower doesn't work on any setting. I hard wired it and it blows just fine. Any ideas?

Try grounding the motor to the chassis.

Hi Tim. I just don't know what to do. Nothing gets juice anymore. The purple wire leading to the blower motor has a constant coltage of like 2 now. The red wire going into the high speed realy has a constant of about 13. Still, the blower works hard wired. Short of ripping everything out and starting over, what can I do?
Thank you for your patience. Electrical is the bane of my existence

I had a blower once that cut on and off and I just replaced. Perhaps thats what you need to do.
I too am having troubles with my blower right now, only mine won't turn off, wanna trade.
Anyway I just was gonna ask how to check the switch or the relay, and how to get the switch, part number?
Good luck on yours, and thanks if you can help

It works!!!!! My roomie came out and gave me a hand and after hours of testing (not including what I had already done) we figured out the problem. A burnt out high speed relay and a popped fuse. Apparently I had blown it while trying to get the blower to work. We found out about the fuse by testing the brown wire that runs to the HVAC unit itself. Made me feel dumb. So, all speeds but high work. No big deal.
As for part numbers, sometimes they are written right on the relay or switch. Also, they disconnect really easily, so just bring it with you to get the new one for a quick comparison.
It sounds like your switch is messed up, if it's staying on all the time. Or maybe your high speed relay is stuck in the GO position. Good luck. I'll try to help out if you have more questions. Tim the moderator is the man when it comes to this stuff though.
