Radiator fan wiring sucks, need guidance as I re-wire it.

My radiator fan is jerry rigged by the previous onwer and its a mickey mouse wiring job. It stays on always, and sometimes it dont' come on at all cuase of the wiring and the engien heats up fast. So I am gonna rewire the whole damn fan.

No big duh were I need to run the ground, but what about the postive, where should i rerun it and check that its going?

Transmission: TH350
Run the positive to a relay that has the fan positive to the battery via a fusible link, the relay control positive switched via ignition power, and the negative relay control to the ecm and/or a coolant temperature switch.
