just last week in my 88 trans am my digital dash light stoped working so im thinking i might need a hole new dash or a light. does any oe know any thing about tis problem.

 

Under your dash,behind the data link is the "Convenience Center" If you lay on your back looking up you will see a little bracket with a Heat Sink and a Diode in the middle of it. This is your "Remote Dimmer". When it fails all the dash lights go out. It runs about $30 at most auto parts stores. I hope this helps.

 

If you have to pull the dash out DO NOT touch the circuit boards on the back side.The grease and oils from your hands can ruin the board.I found that out the hard way.
