Wipers

Have any of you had problems with the wipers? I live in Finland and it's about
-10'c to -20'c (celcuis) over here at nights. When I turn the wipres on in the morning, no problem.. But trying to turn them off is.. they just won't stop for about 5 min. Is it the cold and/or do I need a new switch?? The relay works and speed adj. It's just that they won't turn off right away. (sorry for the spelling )

Sounds like the park mechanism or contacts may be the problem. Remove the cover from the motor (take care when removing the cover, as the plastic actuator may fall out) & inspect the plastic actuator - it may be broken - & contacts. The actuator opens the contacts that allow the motor to park the wipers after the wiper control switch has been turned off.
