Why not put them in the factory spot ?

Mine are from Kmart ($18) & bolted to the impact bar.

Because I didn't buy the big ones. I bought the pilot high performance halogen fog lights. they are about a 1in high and about 2 or 3 in across they are amber colored with a blue lense. but I need some Ideas on where to put them.

factory fog lights

I have a 91 firebird with factory fog lights. My fog lights won't go on unless I have at least my parking lights on, which isn't the problem. The problem is, when ever I turn on my parking lights my head lights pop up. Is there some way to rewire something so when I turn on my parking lights my head lights don't come up?

If you don't mind rewiring them, you can read these threads and decide what you want to do:

Thanks for the response. But, I don't know if that would solve my problem. After reading many of those threads it seems that those are solutions for wiring fog lights threw factory switches. Which mine is already done. I was wondering if there is a solution for keeping the pop up headlights down while my parking lights are on. My friend has a 89 TA and his headlights don't pop up when he turns on his parking lights. So does that mean my wiring is screwed up somewhere.

Can anyone help me

any response is appreciated

Same here, with the parking lights on, the fog lights are on.

I just bought some sylvania h3-100watt bulbs for my fogs, and they are nice... not quite as bright as I had hoped... I mean my 55's were almos the same brightness! I figured they had to be almost twice as bright.... maybe my fogs are aimed too low...

Most people just turn the headlights completely on... then flip the switch down real quick, and then push the parking lights.. the head lights stay up... then you can turn off the switch altogether, they still remain up....

--kind of a shame I can't do that on my current ride... I have to leave the parking lights on, or pull a fuse...

I would suggest taking them back and get bigger lights, or just put them in the factory spot anyways. Smaller lights just makes for more airflow past them to the intake.

Either something is miswired, or you aren't hitting the switch correctly. Mine is split down the middle. Left side for parking & headlights, right side for parking only.

EDIT: I just realized we are responding to a 6 YEAR OLD THREAD! And the last post was 5 YEARS AGO! Until allgood resurrected it.
