oil pressure gauge does not work

oil pressure gauge does not work
I have checked all listing that talk about oil presure gauges , no help.
CAR:1989 IROC 5.7
PROBLEM:The gauge needle is is so far down that it has started to go back up to the right(pointing at 4 if were a clock) .
TRIED SOLUTIONS
A) On this year the oil pressure switch and oil pressure sending unit is all in one down by the oil filter.Replaced it and it did not move.
(B) checked all fuses under the dash
