Ok, now I have done it
I have replaced the 305 LG4 in my 87 TA with a 350 4 bolt. The 350 is a late 70's early 80's and I have re research the casting numbers. Anyway. the 350 has a carb. The only wire on the carb is the choke, which I intend to make a manual. The other wires I think I need are the starter, alt and dist. So I pulled the wiring out of the engine compartment. Well 90% anyway. I left lighting and half of the climate control stuff. Then I proceeded to remove the ecm and most of the associated items, like esc and such along with the entire dash. What I need now is a wiring diagram, a good one with pictures as I am replacing the electronic instrument cluster with mechanical gauges and do not need the wires under the dash. I want to leave the wiring for climate control, power windows, power door locks and of course the stereo. Any one know where I can get a good diagram online?
TIA

Why not wire it up with the layout for the 70s which you should be able to get from a regular manaul.
If you have a carb, and no ECM etc, all you need is a live wire to the distributer, to make it run - oh for the simple days. One wire goes back to the tacho from the distributer tacho connection.
The starter you just need one wire to the solenoid from the ignition key, and a heavy wire from the battery as before.
The alternator you will need to figure out depending on the one you use.
The A/C clutch can work from one supply through the low pressure sensor, so that and the fan the fan should stay the same.
The big question is are you going manual or auto transmission?
