Car: 1986 Pontiac Trans Am

Engine: LG4 305

Transmission: 700R4

Computer Swap???

Can I put an 85 Trans Am computer into an 86 with the same engine/trans.... The 85 has power seats and a digital speedometer, and the 86 doesn't have either?

Not worth the time/effort if the engines are TPI. The biggest hinderance is that damn MAS module used in '85, not to mention its associated wiring.

The other big "hindrance" is that the '85 ECM is the older, slower design that can only address 4K or RAM. The '86-up models are really the way to go.
