Fog Lights
I have an 85 Iroc-Z. The fog lights only come on when the headlights are on. I would like to know if there's a way to make it so the fog lights will come on when just the marker lights are on or when the headlights are on.
Thanks
Thanks
I put fog lights in my RS and wired them up to my parking light. I got a relay and wired it in to the side marker then I ran one wire off the battery terminal to the relay and then from the realy to the lights. Thats about it.

can someone tell me the specific differences in the fog light wiring between mine and the 90-92's? I'm not exactly an electrical or wiring genius so just "off the parking lights" doesn't tell me anything.

Ok off either the parking lights or the side markers what ever you want to use there will be 2 wires. Plice in to the one wire and attach another wires. So now you have one wire in to the light blub, one wire out of the light blub with another wire coming off of that. Now on the relay which you can get at Radio Shack or where ever, there will be 4 prong I think on one end and one prong on the other end. The single prong is the ground so that should be attached to somthing that is metal on your car. (make sure that the wire you spliced on is long enough). NOOOW. I ran a heavy wire from my battery terminal to the inside of the relay (the relay will say something to clue you in to which is which) Once that was attached I ran 2 wires off the "out" side of the relay, one of the wires went to the one light fog light, and the other went to the other fog light. Then off the fog lights you need to run another wire to something that is metal for the lights to be grounded. I hope this helps I tried to write it as basic as I could. PM me if ya need more step by step stuff.

My 1987 T/A's fog lights come on with the parking lights. In fact I use them like that when it's not really dark enough for headlights yet.

.. from the factory, the fogs will come on with parking lights and/or headlights, if you have the switch on
why not just leave the switch on?
