headlights always on

My high beam lights are always on. Flipping the switch on the steering column doesn't do anything. Anyone know what my problem could be? Is it the high beam switch on the column or a just a relay? Where is the headlight relay located? How hard is it to replace the high beam switch. I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks

Rene

More details would help...type of car, year of car, model of car. Can't answer your question without the details

I would have to say I don't think it is a relay...It is most likely the switch itself, which will require you to remove the steering wheel and all the goodies inside the column to replace it. For this you will need a steering wheel puller and a tool to compress the plate so you can remove the switch. This can be a bit of a pain, so I would advise you to take it to your mechanic to have it repaired unless you have these tools and are very good, when it comes to repairing cars.
