Have a 89 formula.Rear hatch has rear defroster and has the original defroster strut.Would it have the wiring harness in the dash so that I could hook up rear defrost? Did not come with rear defrost switch

 

my car had foglight wiring already installed however no switch, relay, fuse or foglights.

check behind the panel and look for the possible wiring already their..

also the hatch could of been replaced and just had the defroster stuff on it..

 

Yeah my car has the wiring for the fog lamps too without the other essentials. However I have no clue where the wires to the harness go to. I know that if there was a switch the lighting on the switch would come on, however I doubt there are any wires going out to be connected to fog lamps.

 

i had something similar

There were grid lines.. there was a button... but nothing was connected to the button (and i see no loose wires or anything)..

i looked at the RPO codes.. and there is no rear defroster listed in the RPO.

I'm not sure WHAT to think.
