Headlight motor and interior light died
Headlight motor and interior light died
I was driving today and the front right of my car hit a big pot hole full of water. I noticed smoke coming out of the right front and got scared, but nothing happened. Later when I drove back home at night I turned on the headlight switch. My left headlight is up, and my right one stays down. My interior dash lights don't go on. My left light won't go down, but the light turns off and on. Also if I leave the lights on and turn the car off it doesnt beep. Whats going on? Bad fuse, motor shorted??
Well I changed the fuse, it kept blowing when I put new ones in. I opened my hood and saw that a ground cable was disconnected, so I plugged it back in and tried. The left light whent up and down, and my interior dash lights whent on, and the fuse didn't blow. But the right light still wouldn't budge. I took out the whole light set up and used a voltmeter to test the connection to the light motor. There was no voltage going through. I also tried running wires from the working light connection to the right light motor, and it wouldnt go even though the other light worked using those wires. So it looks like not only may the motor be broken, but the wire is as well. Also the yellow light on the right side of my fender doesn't go on either. The right headlight bulb does go on.
