Hey i just finished taking the power antenna out of my 84 z28 and the plastic cord that pulls the antenna down when you turn off the car is snapped. So i was just wondering if anyone knows if i could take any power antenna out of any chevy and make it fit. there is only a green, white, and grey wire coming out so if i found one with the same wires would it work??

we dont have many thirdgens at our auto wreckers here so this would be really dandy if i could swap it out of another vehicle.

or, does anyone know how much a new one could cost at a GM dealership???

thanks, it helps, but what i was wondering is could i just take a power antenna motor out of a newer, or older, camaro and put it in my car?

 

you probably can,not sure

i took a whole power antenna from a mid 80's Cutlass... and it's working fine.. had to modify it some

 

i think i might just buy the cord that goes on the inside
