I was leaving UTI yesterday and I put my headlights on and notice I have no dash Lights but everything else works. So I turn my car off and on and put them back on again...nohting. So I just figure a wire broke or something so I go to put it in gear and smoke starts to slowly flow out of my dimmer dial. |The dash is a dash form an 89 TTA. Did the switch burn up, someything grounded out, or maybe something else?

Replace your Headlight switch.... check your fuse's

 

I pulled it apart and it was the dimmer switch.

the dimmer switch in 85+ birds should have negligible amounts of current flowing through it. perhaps your "remote dimmer" has failed.
