rear defroster?

rear defroster?
Just wondering if the rear defrostyer not working is common, and yes I have checked the fuses. Not much on electronics could sure use some help.

I think there is a relay in the dash that is connected to the defroster. Check that out. Also, if you have a volt guage on your dash see if the needle moves when you turn the defroster on. The defroster sucks a huge charge and the needle will noticebly move. If it moves the defroster is on, so I'd check the connections and wires near the hatch struts. If it don't move than you ain't got no power there, so I'd suspect a faulty relay, switch, or wire somewhere. Any other electrical problems?

my rear defroster doesnt work but i'm missing a wire to the other side of the hatch strut.. my biddy told me to simply ground the other side but i havent tried it yet

i ran a search alot of information to look at..
could be not making connection in the rear, a broken line, a bad relay, or even a bad switch..

if u press the button and hold it does the light on the button stay on and then go away as soon as you remove pressure?? if so its the switch relay...

I believe thwt it is the switch. The light on the switch doesn't come on nor does the volt meter register when I turn it on. It just been too stinkin cold for me to want to mess with it here lately.
