Trans and Oil temp digital gauges?

I am wanting to put in a set of cyberdyne digital gauges and i am wondering if anyone else has put them in . What i am really wanting to know is where to put the sending units. I have heard of people putting them in the lines, and also into the pans themselves. Is it possible to replace the oil drain plug with the sending unit as well as with a trans temp sending unit. If anyone has any ideas or if you have them installed on your car please let me know how you did it. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Are you using seperat gauges or are you putting in a whole cluster.
I know on My cyberdyne gauge cluster it just used the stock sending units.
As for the trans temp, I'm not sure, but your best bet is to look around on your tranny and see if the is an opening that you can use.

Well, I put in Autometer gauges for tranny and oil temp. For the tranny I drilled a hole into my aluminum pan, put in a fitting, then epoxied the whole shebang. Works just fine. The oil temp I haven't gotten around to (I'm waiting to change my oil) but I'm going to see if it's possible to drill out the center of the pan plug, then tap it for threads to match the sensor. YMMV.
