4L60E wiring question?
4L60E wiring question?
Does anyone know which wire you energize and/or ground in order to get a 4l60e tranny to shift into first?
I've got 2nd and 3rd by default with tranny un-plugged, due to it being in a 91 chevy, but what the heck it was free. I'm aware of the Trans-Go kit's, thank's to you guys, but If I could throw a few volts down one of the harness leads to get first gear I'd be in pretty good shape. I only need it for a few weeks, but I'm getting concerned about these 2nd gear starts. Not to fun to drive either.
Thank's

I doubt it's an "e" version. The 4L60E is a fully electronically managed unit that requires a PCM to control it. It uses a pulse width modulated valve body. A standard 700R-4, or 4L60 does not require any voltage to operate other than a single 12 volt source to lock up the torque converter.
