foglight wiring

foglight wiring

Just put in foglights. Any way to rig them so they can go on without the parking lights on? I want to use the factory switch. Also, how do I keep them on with the brights on?

If you want them to be controlled independantly of the parking lamps, just wire the switch directly to a relay.

Send +12 ignition to one side of the switch, then the other side of the switch to pin 86 on the relay.

Ground pin 85 on the relay.

Send fused battery voltage to pin 30 on the relay, and hook the fog light wires to pin 87 on the relay. Ground the fogs to chassis.

If you want the fogs to operate only with park lamps and low beams (like the stock 86+ cars were), you can follow this tech article that I wrote:
