1990 Hatch assembly

Here is my story about the hatch assembly.
When I bought my car, the hatch didn't work. So I replaced a fuse. The light in the back started to work, but nothing from the motor. So I started taking everything off from the back and found out there was no hatch motor. So then I was looking on Ebay and found one for a steal. $60 bucks. I thought was a damn good deal. When I got it, I installed it, and it doesn't work. Not even the light. I thought maybe I installed it wrong. So I got fed up and took it to the dealer. After paying them $40 just to look at the damn thing, they tell me that the whole hatch assembly was dead and they want (Here is the best part) $600 to replace it. Man I was so pissed. And now I've got two complete hatch assemblies that don't work. I'm not spending $600 for something I know I can get cheaper. Is there a site or someone in here that sells these things for a decent price? Maybe with a warranty? Or is there anything I can try to take a look at to see if I can get it working? I know there is power at the relay. Thanks for any help you can give.

Yes, I sell rebuilt and re-manufactured units on my web site. Yes they have a warranty.

Yes. Your other option is to repair the unit yourself. Download the instructions for the aftermarket hatch guides I manufacture (TDS p/n 101170) under the "Downloads" section on the lower left side of my web page. It will give you an idea what you'll need to do to disassemble your unit and diagnose any parts you find are broken or missing. I sell all the parts needed to repair these units. Look under the "Hatch Repair Items" section for the parts.
