I have the 745i which I bought years ago. I mounted the shock sensor under the steering column using mounting putty and wire ties. It's been there for years and I have never had a problem with it. The pin switches are pretty obvious. You will need one pin switch for the hood. As for the sonic sensor, I drilled a hole on the corner of the instrument cluster and mounted the mic there. I used some silicone to hold it in place. If you don't know what you're looking for, you won't even see the mic. It looks like a natural part of the dash. Now for the radar sensor, that one I mounted initially just under the dash above the radio bezel. As far as I was concerned, that sensor just never worked well. Even at the lowest setting, I got a lot of false alarms. So I just took it off. I think that sensor was the weakest part of the crimeguard system. Now I don't know if the 745i3 radar sensor is any better but maybe it is. You can mount it and see how it works for you.

ok, where could i get mounting putty? where did you mount the brain? and would you happen to know where in the harness i would have to mount the resistor to disable vats so i can remote start? i dont want to disable vats completly if possible, aka if starting from key still need the proper resistance, but when remote starting give proper resistance.

I just got a 745i and it didn't come with an installation manual, all I really need is the page with a listing of what color wire does what for the alarm's harness. Is there anyway someone could scan that or do a rough type out pretty pretty please Cuz I am SOL without it
