gas gauge

gas gauge

i was wondering if the gas gauge is electric too i was driveing down the road and the gas gauge quit working it dropped down to e and i had a full tank and now it wont work any more

All third gen guages are electric except for the speedo on earlier ones.

trhanx i wasnt sure if it was but i still dont know why it would just quit working while i was driving down the road

Transmission: TH350
Check the plug right behind and above the rearend going to the gas tank. Might have came unplugged. Just a shot and you dont even need a jack to see.

Or, if thats not it, swap out the gauge with one from a junk yard, not that hard to do.
