wirring harness question

heres the deal, i bought an 84 firebird se, it had a v6, one legger and quite beat. so i then bought an 86 firebird trans am, 5.0, posi, and good shape, the only thing was it was hit in the rear quarter. so i swaped all of the parts from the 86 into the 84. the only thing i didnt get was the fuel pump and the harness going to it because the car got towed. so anyways my problem is that i sent it to a shop and the guy put a junkyard fuel pump in it and rigged the wirring to the mass air sensor. if someone can tell me how this will effect the car i would appreciate it. i am replacing the wiring harness anyways but to make na trip to a garage where i can work on the car id like to know. thanks again.

I'm assuming the 84 had an in-tank pump already so the only wiring you should have is at the bulkhead on the connector.
The fuel pump should have it's own dedicated relay because it is (normally) run by the ECM.

Here's a diagram of it...

or if that doesn't work, go here,

and scroll down to Tuned Port Injection (VIN F), page 3
