can anyone explain in greatest detail they can what the VATS controls? i have a 91 camaro and i think either the vats or the aftermarket alarm system is not allowing my car to start, when i bypass the ignition and remote start it will run... but when i was driving it the fuel was getting cut off... so basically the key wont turn the car on... wat do you think?

The vats system only reads the key R value once on vehicle startup. After the engine has started, the resistor pellet in the key is no longer needed.
