I need some help in wiring a painless LT1 harness. The only wiring original from the car that I need to keep is power windows/locks/seats and the lights, correct? I am using aftermarket Autometer gauges so I don't need gauges. I am 99% sure that everything I need came with my Painless harness. What all can I eliminate? What is this black box to the right of the steering wheel mounted to the metal bar? Do I need it? I am going to be able to eliminate some stuff out of my fuse box also...if anyone wants, I can take note of most of this stuff for help int he future.
