Oxygen sensor???
Oxygen sensor???
Can anyone tell me where the Oxygen sensor plugs in?
I have an 1989 Iroc with a 350.
The guy who built my car ripped off the O2 sensor when he put on the custom exhaust.
Now the car isn't running so good....(go figure).....
If you have a picture of where it plugs in, it would great.
Thanks

It still has factory Exhaust manifolds, but everything from there back is custom.
I know I will have to weld a O2 sensor fitting in, but that's not my main problem.
I don't know where the O2 senor wire plugs in......

If it still has the factory exhaust manifolds then you dont need to weld in anything, the bung is in the manifolds on the front drivers side where the collector is. Check and see if it's still plugged in, if it is then thats not the problem, its something else.
No I guess when I said factory I miss spoke , the guy that built my car pretty much through it togerther.
It's a mess the exsauhst manifolds that are on there are not from an IROC ....well not a 89 any way.
This car has been buchered!
I have a 88 Trans am with a 305 can anyone tell me if the O2 sensor would plug in , in the same place ?

The manifolds on pretty much any f-body I've come across that still has a motor, the 02 sensor is on the drivers side (even headers have the o2 on this side). The o2 faces the front of the engine bay and is right above where the y-pipe meets the manifold 'collector'. It's not always easy to see with all the crap in the way.
I agree with deadbird, if it has any of the exhaust manifolds from a fuel injected third gen then it has the o2 sensor in the front drivers side manifold. If its already in place then you have other problems besides that. Just go look and let us know if its there or not.
